Larry C. Guillema was born to a simple family on August 15, 1968 in Negros Occidental. He was a student at La Consolation College, where he took up Bachelor of Fine Arts Major in Advertising
In 1984, Larry became a member of Concerned artist of the Philippines – CAP – Negros, founded by the late film director Lino Brocka, he performed in various tour and stage Island tour productions in various Universities and the Cultural Center of the Philippines - CCP, He joined the Negros based Black Artists in Asia, in 1996.
He worked briefly as a Set Design Staff of PETA Broadcast and Film Productions. He was a Visual Section head in Dagyaw Cultural Development Service Center ( DCSC ) His job was to conduct visual arts workshops and exhibitions.
Then in 1994-1995, Larry worked in Footprints International- A Canadian-Filipino Theater Ensemble in
